Australian Consul-General in Shanghai

Mr Williams is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently Acting High Commissioner, Australian High Commission, Suva.

He has previously served overseas as Ambassador to Laos and had postings in Indonesia and Thailand.

Mr Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Queensland, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Foreign Affairs and Trade. 

 

Opening Hours

The Consulate-General is open from 08:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, except public holidays.

Appointments for lodging a passport application are available on Mondays between 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, and Tuesday to Friday between 9:30 am and 11:30 am. Appointments for notarial services are available Tuesday to Thursday between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
